Drip Irrigation or Drip Irrigation System

Drip Irrigation or Drip Irrigation System

Today we will give you full information about drip irrigation in this article. In which we will give you full information about its benefits, specialties, equipment used.

Drip Irrigation or Drip Irrigation Micro Irrigation System

What is drip irrigation ?

Micro irrigation system or drip irrigation is a special method of irrigation under which water is transported directly to the roots of plants. Water can be saved from drip irrigation or drop drop irrigation. As we know, water is scarcity in many places around the world and it is our responsibility to save water for our future.

Micro irrigation system is a method of irrigation in which small amounts of water are transported directly to the roots of plants by drains at short intervals. So that plants continue to get water and do not cost more water. It can be given water to all plants in very small quantities of water. Pipes, valves, drains and ammeters are used in this work.

In ordinary irrigation, most of the water that plants should get flies as vapour or goes inside the ground through water leakage which costs more water. With this new irrigation system, we can save water and irrigate plants in less water.

When the plants are used to transport water directly from low pressure and control to the roots of plants, this method is called the fertigation process when the water as well as the fertilizer is supplied. Which protects the leaching and evaporation loss of nutrients and provides suitable crop nutrition at the right time.

Characteristic of drip irrigation

1. The plants can be watered daily.
2. By this method, water is always in sufficient quantity around the root.
3. The method of harvest should remain uniformly a fair amount of water and air in the ground. This method keeps the water and air in the ground in a reasonable amount so that the growth of plants is done properly and quickly.
4. Rough land where water cannot be easily accessed can be cultivated by irrigation in such places.
5. It is very good for the environment as it saves water, i.e., water conservation.

Experiment tools

Micro irrigation system uses a variety of tools that are like this –

1. Header assembly – It plays an important role in micro irrigation system as it controls irrigation pressure and its speed. Header assembly is also called bypass or non-return valve.

2. Filter – The filter is used to extract the soil particles in the water to get small waste smaller wastes and algae. Because they can close the hole of the drip. It includes screen filters, sand filters, sandseparator, setting tank, etc. Hydrocyclone filter is used for sand or soil present in water. Sand filters are used for micro-organic waste in water like algae (moss), plant leaves, wood etc. Even if the water is fully clean, at least the screen filter should be used in the irrigation plant.

3. Process of composting : Chemical manures in drip irrigation are given through vechury, fertilizer tank and fertilizer pump.
In drip irrigation, chemical manures are given through vechury, fertilizer tank and fertilizer pump.

• Venturi – Chemical manure is given only through venturi. It is an instrument which runs at a pressure gap. By this, the chemical stands reach the plants correctly. In this method liquid manure reaches plants with water.

• Fertilizer tank – Chemical matter and manure can be immediately poured into this device by filling the liquid manure in this tank with pressure control.

4. Menline – A pump is used in drip irrigation so that water is transported to the submain line. PVC or HDPE pipes are used in the main line.

5. Subman line – valves are applied next to the subman pipe to control the flow and pressure of water.  At the beginning of the subman pipe, it is necessary to apply a vacuum release valve or air relese or else the soil particles in the pipe can come in and also turn off the hive of the dreamer.

6. Poly tube – Submen water is transported throughout the field from poly tube situated as the driper is applied over the poly tube.

7. Dripper – This is a very important part of drip irrigation. By this, water falls as a drop in the kheto. The hourly flow of the drips and the maximum water in the crop is fixed according to the number. A land which is not equal is rough and is advised to drip irrigation.

Benefits of Drip Irrigation

Drip irrigation doors have many benefits such as –

• Drip irrigation gives the crop a fair amount of water per day thereby increasing the productivity and quality of the crop.
• By this, we save about 40 to 60% of water from irrigation.
• Fertigation method can also be given to the plant with water as well as a proper amount of manure.
• In drip irrigation or drip irrigation, water is reached to the roots of plants so that unnecessary weeds are not developed.
• This method can easily weed in irrigation, harvesting because in this irrigation, water is only near the roots of the plants and the field remains dry.
